Managing Director and Property Manager
CJ grew up in Auckland but her mother was from a high country sheep station in Central Otago, so she has always had one foot firmly planted in the South Island. Having attended St Cuthbert’s College, she studied at AUT and Tauranga Hospital, before heading overseas.
This 20-year, overseas experience ended up with CJ building a career in international licenced merchandising, which is intellectual property and trademark management. This industry is a fascinating mix of stringent legal and financial management, of incredibly clever and original creative brands e.g. Marvel Entertainment, Universal Studios, Discovery Channel, Lion King.
In 2010 CJ returned home to New Zealand permanently, just as the NZ property market was recovering from the Global Financial Crisis. Having owned rentals overseas, assessing property opportunities upon her return was second nature. She was fascinated by the Auckland market which at that time had houses selling for 30%-40% below CV, limited new houses being built, while immigration numbers and rental needs were rapidly increasing. With this in mind, she invested in NZ property investment training.
Saltark Property Management evolved from this foundation, and our goal is to have an excellent reputation and still be in business in 50 years’ time.
Jacqui grew up in Titirangi Auckland and moved with her family to Christchurch when her children were at primary school. She spent 15 years in Christchurch managing a New Zealand owned rental car company and when she moved to Hawkes Bay went from renting cars to renting houses. Whilst living in the sunny Hawkes Bay, Jacqui gained extensive experience working for a leading property management company in the region.
Since moving back to Auckland to be closer to her grandchildren she has worked for one of the big 5 property management companies before moving to Saltark Property Management. She loves the dynamics of Saltark’s boutique approach to the care of landlords, tenants, and properties and where no day is ever the same.
Jacqui is passionate about properties and loves interior design. Having owned rental properties, and being a tenant, she understands both sides of the fence! Having a strong background in administration, she is great at organising and relates to our owners, tenants and tradespeople in a transparent and honest manner.
Having been a Property Manager for some of the largest property management companies in NZ, Jacqui loves the personal touch that Saltark offers and being in a friendly team environment where jobs get done on time, and the service is great.

Carmyn has just been amazing, incredibly thorough – there is nothing she has not thought. She has systems in place to prevent every possible scenario that could possibly go wrong. My dealings with other property managers have been petty horrific (one had the house painted a different colours to my instructions). She is hands down the best property manager around, I can not recommend her highly enough.
